British American writer Rushdie faced a Life and Death situation.
Sir Ahmed Salman Rushdie, who is a British-American Novelist was stabbed on Friday in an event. The attack took place in the Chautauqua Institution at a literary event, in New York, where Rushdie was already spoken there in the past. Yesterday Mr. Rushdie was about to address hours of lectures in the hall, suddenly attackers were stranded near his neck and ran away.
The situation of Rushdie:
Mr.Rushdie was on Ventilator according to the report, and he was battling for his life, after he was stabbed near his neck about 10-15 times the blood overflowed at the place. The audience who were ready to enjoy the lecture witnessed that Rushdie fell on the floor after the attack and many people surrounded him.
Rushdie’s condition is so serious as of now and exact reports are not yet released. He was suffering from nerves in an arm which will affect his liver and it may lead to loss and eye, said doctors.
About the attacker:
The latest report says that the attackers were found and caught by the police. He was 24-year-old Hadi Matar, he was from New Jersey. The reason behind the attack is not revealed. Hadi Matar was born in California but recently migrated to New Jersey. His address is found as he has a house in Fairview, a borough of Bergen County from Manhattan.
Hadi Matar also has a forged license in New Jersey, said the report. Matar’s Instagram has found an image of Iranian commander Qassim Soleimani, and police said he didn’t have any direct link with IIRG (Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard).
A year later Mr. Rushdie had a threat from an Iranian Revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, and he called for Rushdie’s assassination. His writing The Static Verse had not been released due to some controversies regarding, Muslim Fatwa. In 1988.

Salman Rushdie was born in 1947, he was an Indian-born British-American novelist. He was an atheist and famous for his Novel, Midnight’s Children in 1981, and he also won the Booker prize in 1981, he was regarded as the Best Novel of all Winners.
Rushdie’s fourth Novel “The Static Verse” had controversy on provoking protesters from Muslims, Fatwa was called to kill the author in 1988. After that Rushdie was under police protection and saved from the attempt, Rushdie lived far from his family without telling them where he was living. He was continuously changing his address and house as he had a threat.
“Salman Rushdie had been in many controversies from a decade but never such happen, were think no attack has ever happened on literary writers before on the American Soil,” said CEO Suzanne Nossel in a statement. What we have seen today is a very violent expression of hate that shocked everyone and has never seen such before” said Chautauqua Institution.
New York governor Kathy Hochul condemned the attack and said, “Rushdie, who had never spoken any false and a true individual was facing the never expanded situation, people should have the freedom to talk what they want”.
