A new trailer for Brahmastra has been released, featuring new footage from the film, particularly action
scenes starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
As India’s first Astraverse film, Brahmastra has generated a lot of interest among fans. Ayan Mukerji’s
ambitious magnum opus will be released in just six days.
Karan Johar has released a new trailer for his forthcoming film, Brahmastra. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in
the lead role, as well as Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Mouni Roy. Fresh footage in
the new trailer shows more action scenes, crisper CGI, and a warning about astras colliding.
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s Guruji warns Ranbir Kapoor’s Shiva that if three parts of the Brahmastra ever
come together, humanity will perish. But the villainous Mouni is searching high and low for the missing
pieces, pleading with Lord Brahma to assist her.
Meanwhile, Shiva has been tasked with keeping the Brahmastra’s final piece safe, even using his fiery
superpowers to keep villains at bay. In addition, he must protect his girlfriend Isha from Gwen Stacy-like falls
and collaborate with Vanarastra and others.
More scenes show Vanarastra rising in full power over the city. He is dressed in white pajamas, but previous
images have shown him to be Shah Rukh Khan. The new footage includes scenes with the Vanarastra, but
SRK’s face is still obscured.
On September 9, Brahmastra will be released in Hindi as well as the South Indian languages Telugu, Tamil,
Malayalam, and Kannada. Ayan Mukerji directed it.
The film has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 410 crore, making it the most expensive Hindi film of
all time. It has been in the works for nearly a decade. Ayan previously stated that the idea for the film came
to him while he was still working on Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. The film’s production began nearly five years
ago.
The film’s advance booking figures are promising. However, these trends must continue if a promising opening day is to be realised.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “’BRAHMASTRA’” ADVANCE BOOKING STATUS…Finally, some relief
for the industry…Received #Brahmastra *day-wise data* [advance booking} of *a leading multiplex chain*…
Observations… Tickets sold: 11,558 [veryyy positive start, since advance opened at select locations only}.”
He also stated that Brahmastra’s Friday business will account for approximately 63% of total ticket sales,
with Saturday and Sunday accounting for 25% and 12%, respectively. Other factors, such as mass circuits
and spot bookings, will also be important on Day 1. Meanwhile, the first weekend will be determined by
audience feedback. Earlier, some Twitter users called for a boycott of the film, citing various reasons, amid
the industry’s ongoing cancel culture.
In real life, Alia and Ranbir met in the film and fell in love. They were married in April and are now expecting
their first child.
Brahmastra is Ranbir’s second release of the year, following the box office flop Shamshera. Alia Bhatt has had
a good year in the movies, with Gangubai Kathiwadi doing well at the box office and her Netflix release,
Darlings, receiving mostly positive reviews.
Other projects in the works for Alia include Jee Le Zaraa, Heart of Stone, and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
Ranbir’s other projects include Animal and an untitled film with Luv Ranjan. Amitabh has a backlog of
projects in the works, including Goodbye, Uunchai, and Project K.
