A “long and ugly” global recession that might begin at the end of this year and last well into 2022 has been predicted by economist Nouriel Roubini, who is well recognised for correctly predicting the financial crisis the world experienced in 2008. He also anticipated a significant drop in the S&P 500. His warning comes in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, along with high inflation rates in the US and all other major economies.

Confirmed Ebola cases in Uganda, 11 dead

Four confirmed cases of Ebola have been recorded in the last 24 hours. The cumulative number is now 11 in Uganda, as per the health ministry of the country. Now, the health ministry is considering โ€˜probableโ€™ cases as any person who died from the same suspected EVD (Ebola), having an epidemiological link to a confirmed case that was probably not tested and never had any lab confirmations. โ€˜Confirmed casesโ€™ are those only which got positive lab confirmations.ย
