The Screen Actors Guild awards had a red carpet that might’ve gone down as one of the best displays of high fashion yet.Â
Huge names including Zendaya, Emily Blunt, Cara Delevigne, Austin Butler walked down the red carpet dressed in outfits that served.
Spring is here, and the dresses show it!
Florals absolutely dominated the red carpet.
Zendaya, who’s made a mark not only in the acting industry but also turned heads in the fashion world, displayed on the red carpet exactly why she stands as the youngest person to have been awarded by the CDFA.Â
The Euphoria star wore a custom made pastel pink Valentino gown that flowed down the red carpet. She accessorized it with Bulgari jewelry. While Zendaya used floral details to look pretty in pink, Cara Delevigne was back in black.
The model turned actress posed in a brand new jumpsuit from Carolina Herrera’s Autumn 23 collection with rosettes adorning it at the waist. Black heels and a prominent neckline accentuated the look… a diamond necklace completed the all black look.Â
Apart from Rosettes, the flavor of spring also showed up in the form of beautiful floral prints.
Emily Blunt flaunted her figure in a bodycon Oscar de La Renta floral dress. While Emily’s dress had brighter hues, Ana de armas went for a B&W gradient.
The stunning actress who had been nominated for her role in ‘Blonde’ showed up in Louis Vuitton apparel. Her dress was custom made by LV and her jewelry also belonged to the brand’s mHigh collection.
The star-studded event was done justice by the bejeweled outfits.
Haley Lu Richerdson, who was also one of the presenters for the night, went strapless, looking elegant as ever in a Carolina Herrera dress draped in pearls. To go with the bling theme she sported a purse, also covered in pearls.Â
The season has been filled with sheer clothing with stars like Dua Lipa, Dakota Johnson looking gorgeous in it, Paul Mescal has also joined the club by wearing a Sheer overcoat to the red carpet. The bejeweled detailing gave the whole look the ‘it-factor’ that made it such a feast for the eyes.Â
The ‘S’ in SAG might just stand for Sequins
SAG 2024 had a very unlikely main character, sequins seem to be coming back into trend…
Michelle Yeoh (who made history later that night by becoming the first Asian woman to win the best actress award at the SAG) did not come to play. She wore a Schiaparelli black dress with a dramatic gold sequined column paired with Moussaieff jewelry.
Among other stars that looked majestic in Sequins were Sheryl Lee Ralph and Aubrey Plaza. Plaza wore a bold bronze Micheal Kors dress with a classic old hollywood hairdo while Sheryl walked the carpet wearing a Tadashi Shoji gown.
The outfits at this SAG were hard to ignore.Â
Li Jun Li showed up in a sheer look, wearing Fendi couture, the silver metallic nude gown made quite the impression. Michelle Williams stuck to classy simplicity in a navy blue, cut Dior dress.
The beloved Elvis actor, Austin Butler gave us a throwback to retro in a velvet suit.Â
Sheer, sequins, florals, colors, prints, shimmer… this SAG red carpet was nothing short of a boost to fashion this season. A lot of the outfits worn were straight from the spring/autumn collections of top designers, ranging from safe classy dresses to experimental outfits.
