A 47-year-old man named Omkar Tiwari from Chhattisgarh drags a 16-year-old girl on the road while the public was watching them. She used to work in Omkar’s grocery shop and she quit her job because He demanded money from her and forced her to marry him.
She was stabbed by him when she rejected the Marriage proposal. According to sources, Man was drunk and holding a knife, and tried to stab her on Saturday evening.
Currently, The girl is in severe condition and admitted to a government hospital. Omkar has been arrested on Sunday and Superintendent of Police ( SSP) Prashant Agarwal shared that the girl was working in her grocery shop in Raipur’s Gudhiyari area. SSP Raipur also added that the attackers wants to marry her and as she refused and quit her job, Omkar Tiwari drags her hair in front of the Public, on Gudhiyari road, Raipur. The clip of this horrifying incident is going viral on Twitter and NCW India said that they had taken cognizance of the crime that happened in Raipur.
Chairperson Rekha Sharma writes to the DGP of Chhattisgarh to take relevant provisions in law and conduct a fair investigation regarding this matter and provide protection for the victim.
