Ponniyin Selvan 1 has been sold for a digital OTT Platform called Amazon Prime for ₹125 Cr.

For the past few months, its been in the industry that Ponniyin Selvan has made a deal for ₹125 Cr to Amazon Prime, and as per the news After Movies release in cinemas on 30th September 2022 it will soon be released on OTT Platform on 11th November 2022.

The story is based on Ponniyin Selvan a historical novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy in Tamil, After the last attempt by M.G. Ramachandran in the late 1950s, Mani Ratnam tried to adapt this movie previously in the late 90s and early 2010s but was unsuccessful due to financial issue, but finally revived in 2019 with help of LYCA Productions.
The story contains Ponniyin Selvan’s years and contains more than 50 characters and in which Chiyaan Vikram as Aditya Karikalan Karthi as Vallavaraiyan and Jayan Ravi as Ponniyin Selvan alias Arulmozhivaramand Aishwarya Rai is introduced in a dual role as Nandini, the main Antagonist and her mute mother, queen Mandakini Devi and Kishore as Ravi Dasan.

The trailer of PS-1 is a virtually rich trailer the angel’s scenes and characters seem to be real as in not acted but live documentary which makes it a repeat watch-worthy trailer. The video is visually appealing and a treat to the eyes for those who like real-life-like scenes. Its trailer is out on LYCA Productions’ Twitter account. The movie release date is 30 September 2022.
