Satya Prakash Srivastava, known professionally as Raju Srivastava & often credited as Gajodhar, (25 December 1963–21 September 2022) was an Indian comedian, actor, and politician. Raju Srivastava was a very famous and loved comedian. Performed in many comedy serials like The great Indian laughter challenge and worked in the Bollywood film Mai prem ki Diwani hun. Participated in Big Boss season 3.

Raju Shrivastava was born and brought up in Kanpur as Satya Prakash Srivastava on 25 December 1963 to a middle-class family. His father, Ramesh Chandra Shrivastava was an acclaimed poet in the region and popularly known by the pen name, Balai Kaka. Hailing from a very traditional Uttar Pradesh cultural background, Raju had artistic traits rooted in him as he was an amazing mimic. He started mainly by mimicking his teachers at school and positively entertaining his friends.
He explored much more in the field of his talent and ended up writing and performing stand-ups. He struggled and successfully reach the stage of the Laughter Challenge. It was then that he received the recognition he truly deserved. Raju Shrivastav is also popularly known as Gajodhar Bhiya for the very hilarious and interesting character by the same name which he used to play.
Raju Shrivastav’s love life is also one of the filmiest stories in the case of comedians. He met his present wife, Shikha at his elder brother’s wedding. He fell in love at the very first sight. It was then that he started investigating and found out that Shikha happens to be his sister-in-law’s cousin. He used to find excuses to visit Shikha’s house in Etawah. He never really confessed his love for her and moved out to Mumbai in order to build up a successful career in Comedy. When he gained financial stability in his life, he decided to contact Shikha through a letter.
Upon inquiry, he discovered that she is getting married. He approached his family who proposed marriage to her family. Shikha never openly admitted her feelings. Nevertheless, she got married to Raju as her family got satisfied with his financial status and realized that he truly loves her. It took him 12 years to get united with the love of his life. They got married on 1 July 1993 and are presently proud parents to two children, Antara and Ayushman.
In 2013, Raju along with his wife participated in Nach Baliye season 6, which is a couples dance show on StarPlus. He has also appeared on Comedy Nights with Kapil He also appeared in a show called Mazaak Mazaak Mein a.k.a. ‘The Indian Mazaak League’. It was a stand-up comedy show which aired on Life OK. Popular cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Shoaib Akhtar were the judges of the show.

Raju Srivastava suffered a heart attack on August 9 following which he has admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) hospital in Delhi. Srivastava’s team confirmed that he suffered a heart attack while working out at the time. The family also announced that he was recovering. But on 21st September 2022, the family announced his sudden demise.
Comedian, Actor Raju Srivastava was well known for his mimicry, acting in Bhojpuri. It is a huge loss for the comedian industry.
