Many countries have started a quick evacuation in the capital of Sudan, Khartoum. According to analysts, despite the risks associated with it, the nations continue to rush the evacuation of their nationals out of the war-ridden country. After more than a week of the war-like situation between the two military factions of Sudan, the Sudan national army and the RSF or the Rapid Support Force, which is the country’s paramilitary force, the evacuation process has been initiated.

According to some sources, the total number of casualties in Sudan to this day has reached 420. Further, millions of people are trapped in the country without access to adequate and basic human rights or services. Nations have assembled convoys to evacuate their nationals out of the country, resulting in chaos and manslaughter. This was done amid the gunfight and bombing between the two warring troops. As a result, many foreign nationals have been hurt during rescue operations.

France
France is one of the countries that has initiated the process of evacuation. The foreign minister informed the media that they have made provisions for rescuing the embassy and diplomatic staff on priority. This also includes the diplomats of the European Union. Besides this, they have also safely flown about a hundred people to Djibouti. The French officials also reported that another plane with almost the same number of people will be carrying out more nationals of France in recent times.
Qatar & Iraq
In their individual process of evacuation, Qatar and Iraq also sent convoys to rescue the nationals of the respective countries. However, the operation was met with challenges like the RSF looting a Qatar convoy which was travelling to the port of Sudan. Iraqi nationals also became targets while being evacuated leading to some casualties. Additionally, one of the high diplomats of Egypt was also wounded in the evacuation process.
Evacuation by Canada
The prime minister, who is currently facing hate of unpopularity in his country on increased retirement age in his country, has reported that the country has been successful in evacuating the Canadian diplomats from Sudan. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also informed of their nation’s efforts to evacuate the rescue the local staff in Sudan.
Other Nations
Egypt, India, Libya and Nigeria have stated that they will be working to evacuate their nationals in a safe manner. India is in talks with India’s ambassador to Sudan B S Mubarak to plan a rescue operation. This high-level virtual meet is also joined by envoys to Riyadh and Egypt. India has previously stated that it is in delegations with the Quartet over evacuation process.

Meanwhile, locals of Sudan feel upset as the RSF or the national army of the country continues to remain unbothered by the destitution of the people, while other nations evacuate their people. According to sources, many local people are trapped in destitute condition, deprived of basic human services.
National Army of Sudan
The national army has reported that it had recently made amends with countries like the US, UK, Germany and France for the evacuation of their nationals. This would be done at Wadi Sedna which is an air base located in the north of Khartoum. It has also delegated with countries like Qatar and Jordan for their operations from Port Sudan.

The Sudan army and the RSF had previously in the year 2021 laid a joint coup to dethrone the erstwhile government in Sudan. However, after not reaching any common ground on establishing civilian governance, the two factions entered a violent face-off. Two ceasefire negotiations and agreements have already been broken.
