Nothing is more beautiful than a piece of art, and no one views the world more beautiful than an artist. Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Beauty is subjective, and its supremacy lies in the excellency of an artist, the creative genius whose mind works mysteriously.
In ancient cultures, All believed that artists were reincarnations of eternal beings, so People cherished artists for their values. Where I come from, we consider arts as 16 great forms of marvel that descended upon the earth from the almighty creator.
When we talk about art, we usually think about music, dramas, plays, dances, illustrations, drawings, sculptures and many more.
These are masterpieces that incite surreal feelings inside a human mind when witnessed, enjoyed and revelled in; after all, we won’t be called humans without feelings. So what makes artists or their arts so special? The answer is uniqueness.
They can do something that others can not. They are creators whose creations are their original versions. It would help if you had a talent so outstanding that others might or might not be able to emulate, but your creations will be unique on their own.
It takes skill, innovation, creativity, struggle and hard work to gain recognition to create a reputation. An artist may be well known, but an artists life is never easy.
Remember the song Jeena yahan, marna yahan from Raj Kapoor Saab’s movie. Many people got to know what a circus in India was. A circus-like carnival is an old form of art that originated centuries ago.
The modern circus is merely hundreds of years old, but the origin of the chaos dates back to roman Amphitheatres; some say it dates back to gipsies, vagabonds that dwelled from place to placed and performed the incredible act. The caravan concept might have emerged from this and carnival and magic show.Â
In the early 20th century, mainly in the 60s and 70s, the allure of circus was such that people from every state, every place marvelled, dreamed of enjoying one. The Russian circus was one such elite platform of art.
The chaos was an escapade into a different world, showing impossible to imagine acts that defined laws of science. Then we did not have colourful televisions or handy cellphones to view the world as a whole with a small device. Now we do.
Now the allure of circus has waned significantly. Very few circuses are now still operational. Disney world, wonderlands and amusement parks have stolen all their glory. Currently, circuses are struggling.
The ongoing COVID-1 pandemic is detrimental to the progress of humankind. It has turned into a killer of dreams and creativity. Without argument, all will agree that it has rendered everyone hopeless. But a strange thing has occurred.
A circus named ‘Cirque du Soleil’ has got everyone attention. The chaos is based in the US was started in 1984. When pandemic struck, most live stage shows like Broadways, plays, All got cancelled, including this.
While Cirque du Soleil is not a struggling circus, it was a 1$ billion revenue-generating platform on its own. Still, irrespective of this, the beginning of the circus was with street performers who helped shape the company into a successful forum.
Forty-four of its shows got cancelled due to pandemics, the chaos almost went bankrupt, as its leader Daniel Lammare has revealed to Bloomberg. Lamar revealed they had no escape and no compensation in hand for their loss. He was by that time writing his newly published book.
He worked in the group for 21 years; the circus performed in more than 450 cities in more than 90 countries. Over 350 million viewers have seen the shows, and Lammare claims that in 2019 alone, they have sold over 15 million tickets.
That’s huge. All of these achievements are because of their creativity and equality. They removed age-old practices and focused on their employees. Introducing new initiatives like the “innovation cells” gave their employees room to breathe, brainstorm, and generate ideas.
They have exclusively dedicated a large number of employees to search continuously and research trending factors around the world, from fashion, music, entertainment to innovative technology all these aspects we took into consideration.
The circus did architecture and mechanical and software collaborations with Microsoft to engage stage performance and spectator experience. The design of the stage, costume the o execution of shows are all prepared formed so that its employee’s safety remains intact.
Not only this, they thirst, but they also have nonprofit causes. They help the youth and take other social initiatives as a company. The company runs on its principles.
So when the pandemic closed all of its doors, the company immediately evacuated all of the stranded employees and rehabilitated them as Government sealed the borders and trucks full of equipment were in desperate need of warehouse storage.
It had no other option other than filing for bankruptcy protection when it isn’t bankrupt. While it became evident there w,l ikes no way, the company had to fire almost 95% of its all 5000 employees. When it seemed like all doors were closed, miraculously, many blue-chip companies contacted them to invest in it.
The investors saw the potential and creative ingenuity of the company and cleared the debts while investing $375 million in the company. The value of the brand and its intellectual property were the factors that held their attention.
Now Lamar has stepped down as a CEO. But Cirque du Soleil has returned to the stage in the US.Â
Creativity never expires, and art never dies.
