Sourav Ganguly is often hailed as the best captain India has ever had. He is credited with changing the face of Indian cricket and helping the team become a force to be reckoned with. It was rumored that Virat Kohli was ready to continue as the captain of team India in the ODI format but he was sacked by Ganguly. Ganguly also relieved Ravi Shashtri from his duties and installed Rahul Dravid as the new Head Coach. The current captain of all 3 formats of the game is Rohit Sharma. He was also offered the position of chairman of IPL but he rejected the opportunity. It’s rumored that he was repeatedly asked to join BJP; he was not convinced. The opportunity of becoming the IPL chairman was even offered in exchange for joining the party, but Dada rejected it. BJP has denied the rumors and blamed TMC null development of sports in the State of Bengal.

Brijesh Patel had to retire from his position because of the age cap. After 70 years of age, the functionary has to retire and can no longer work. Jay Shah, son of Amit Shah, is set to retain his position even after completing his 6 years tenure. He holds the most powerful position in the administration. Khairul Majumdar is set to be replaced by Avishek Dalmiya, the son of a big shot of BCCI and ICC- Jagmohan Dalmiya.
The Administration Era of Ganguly comes to an end. His intentions were based on results on the pitch but had to deal with conflicts during his tenure. The influence is still felt but it was cut short after he fulfilled 3 of his 6 years of tenure.
