In a recent incident at Ali Gaon, owing to a personal feud, a man, along with his kins and friends, allegedly attacked his neighbour by barging into his residence violently. Local law enforcement authorities reported this upsetting event on Sunday, August 27.
The man, with the help of friends and family, has been allegedly spotted pelting the neighbour’s house with bricks and stones, as informed by the police.
Two Distress Calls Summon Police to Ali Gaon
On Saturday, August 26, the Badarpur station police were called twice via PCR: the first call was made at 5:41 p.m. and the second at 5:58 p.m. The calls were being made to report the feud and vandalism occurring in and around house number 129 in Ali Gaon.
The police swiftly responded to these distress calls and decided to visit the scene immediately. Following this, a team of law enforcement officers descended upon the scene, specifically looking for house number 129 on Ali Gaon Pushta Road.
To aid in the intervention, police were accompanied by an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV).
Deterioration All-Around in Ali Gaon
As soon as the police, along with the Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV), arrived at the scene, they caught a glimpse of a disconcerting scene.
There were numerous stones and bricks scattered throughout the respective scene. Even two privately owned vehicles, which suffered the brunt of the blow, were also discovered.
Even the windows and doors of the victim’s family were found broken owing to the vandalism practiced by his neighbour out of sheer hostility.
Deep-Rooted Aversion Spotted in Ali Gaon
According to the police, a longstanding personal animosity prevailed among the two families in focus. These were furthered by a 35-year-old Shankey and his 37-year-old neighbour, Ashwani Kumar.
This hostility climaxed on this Saturday evening, wherein Shankey and his family and friends reportedly attacked Ashwani’s residence with bricks and stones.
Ali Gaon: Attempts to Hinder Police Investigation
Shankey and his kin and friends did not stop vandalizing the property for a long time. To hinder or mislead the police investigation, the assailants reportedly disabled the nearby CCTV cameras.
Such calculated moves hint at a long-term formulated plan that could be brewing long before the discourse was undertaken. They fled when police reached the spot, as stated by a police officer on duty.
The involved individuals have been successfully identified. Being related as kin or friends to Shankey, these people include but are not limited to, Shankey, Sachin, Amit, Chandermal, Sagar, Baby, Jatin, Sonia, and Vijender.
Legal Proceedings Commence Post Violence in Ali Gaon
The seriousness of this incident has prompted the police to undertake proper actions via fruitful legal proceedings. As per the available prima facie evidence, various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) have been registered against the miscreants.
The aforementioned provisions encompass Section 147, which pertains to the punishment for rioting; Section 148, which addresses the offense of rioting with a deadly weapon; Section 149, which pertains to the offense of unlawful assembly; Section 342, which deals with the punishment for wrongful confinement, Section 452, which addresses the offense of house-trespass after preparation for assault, Section 427, which pertains to the offense of mischief causing damage to the amount of fifty rupees, Section 506, which deals with the punishment for criminal intimidation, Section 34, which pertains to the concept of common intention, and Section 120B, which addresses the offense of criminal conspiracy.
Ali Gaon Vandalism: A lot is yet to be revealed
It is intriguing to note that the accused person, Shankey, is thought to have a history of involvement in illicit activities, with allegations alleging that he was involved in bootlegging.
Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the authenticity of these charges and are taking procedures to charge him with rioting in connection with this incident. At this time, the authorities are making concerted efforts to track down and apprehend the people who carried out the attack.
