Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar, on his appearance in Bengaluru in the wake of being tested by the ED in the National herald case, scrutinized the junction of the ED summons at an intersection when the Bharat Jodo Yatra is in progress in Karnataka.
Addressing the media on Friday, he asserted that the central agencies were being misused by the BJP-led Center. He said, “ED requested data about the cash given to Young India organisation . We have said that we have given cash to the associations that our chiefs have done during the time of Jawaharlal Nehru and Gandhi. ED addressed us inquiring as to For what reason did we give cash? They examined us regarding our type of revenue.”
The Congress leader added, “Legislative issues ought to be finished in the field and not in that frame of mind of an insightful organization. Rahul Gandhi attempted the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Karnataka. In spite of the fact that I am the state leader of the party, I couldn’t partake in the yatra today. What was the need to address me today? I had looked for time from the ED that I will show up any day after October 23rd yet I was approached to go to the examination today.”
Shivakumar and his sibling DK Suresh were grilled about the monetary exchanges regarding gifts made to Youthful India Pvt Restricted.
