The wizarding world mourns over the death of Hagrid.
“Goodbye Robbie,” said the world to Robbie Coltron as he died at the age of 72. Robbie was famous for portraying the role of Hagrid in the Harry Potter Series. Fans couldn’t believe the news and messages started flourishing all over social media. Robbie Coltrane, a Scottish actor not only appeared in the Harry Potter series but also was seen ITV detective drama Cracker and the James bond film.
He was also seen in The Harry potter anniversary. It was J.K Rowling who asked the makers to cast Robbie, as she thought he was perfect for the role. Mr. Coltrane also secured a place in the nomination category for Bafta awards for his role in the first movie Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stories.

Daniel Radcliffe, who portrayed Harry in the Harry Potter series had the most scenes with Robbie, the Hagrid-Harry relationship was most loved by the fans and described his personality as “a lovely man and an incredible actor”. He also said that he was one of the funniest people he ever met and always shared his laughter with them on the sets, he shared some beautiful memories with him especially when they were filming the third series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, he always kept the kid’s morale high and he felt extremely lucky to work with him and the news of his death made him sad.
Bonnie Wright who played Ginny Weasely shared a heartfelt note too on her Twitter for Robbie Coltron.
J.K Rowling who bought Robbie on board with the character Hagrid also shared a tweet on his death.
Emma Watson who played Hermione Granger, bestie of Ron and Harry also couldn’t hold herself and shared her memories with the world.
Rupert Grint who portrayed the role of Ronald Weasely also penned down a heart felt note on the actor’s demise.
Matthew Lewis, who portrayed the role of Neville Longbottom quoted in his tweet over the actor’s death
“Robbie. Bobser. He called me Space Boy. We shared a love of the final frontier. He didn’t give a fuck and it always made you smile,. “A giant, in more ways than one. We had some times x.”
Tom Felton, our Draco Malfoy shared on Instagram.
“One of my fondest memories of filming Harry Potter was a night shoot on the first film in the forbidden. “I was 12. Robbie cared & looked after everyone around him. Effortlessly. And made them laugh. Effortlessly. He was a big friendly giant on screen but even more so In real life. Love you mate – thank you for everything xx.”
Harry Potter fans also shared their thoughts on this sad news.
“There’s no Hogwarts without you, Hagrid,” quoting the dialogue from the movie.

As Robbie said when he appeared in the HBO in the Harry Potter Reunion, “The legacy of the movies is that my children’s generation will show them to their children,” he said. “So, you could be watching it in 50 years, easy. I’ll not be here, sadly. But Hagrid will, yes.”
