GURUGRAM: Man kills father, runs car over body

GURUGRAM: Police have captured a 26-year-old cabbie who purportedly choked his dad to death, pummeled his body with a spanner and ran it over with his vehicle to make the crime seem to be a mishap.
Cops said Anuj killed his dad, Rakesh Kumar (52), after both of them had a dispute over hereditary property.
On September 18, Rakesh Kumar’s body was found close to the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Freeway in Manesar. A posthumous report reasoned that he had been gone after, inciting police to enroll an instance of crime .
Anuj purportedly killed his dad the prior night and was on the run from that point forward.
“After the body was found, a FIR was registered at the IMT-Manesar police headquarters and a hunt was sent off for the accused. Anuj was captured on Thursday night from Nawada town in Manesar,” assistant commissioner of police (crime) Preet Pal Singh Sangwan said on Friday.

The 26-year-old let the police know that his granddad had given a piece of hereditary land in UP to Rakesh, a farmer and an aunt.
“This didn’t go down well with Anuj, who had a dispute about this with Rakesh. On the interceding evening of September 17 and 18, Anuj killed his dad by choking him. Then he attempted to squash Rakesh’s face with a spanner and escaped from the spot. To redirect police examination, he additionally drove a vehicle over his dad’s body, so the case could seem to be a street mishap,” Sangwan said.
Anuj has been booked under section 302 (murder) of the IPC.
Police said he will be delivered under the watchful eye of a court and they will look for his remand to recuperate the deadly weapon and the vehicle utilized for the crime.
