Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and Paresh Rawal have finally come together on stage for Hera Pheri 3.
Empire Studios in Mumbai once again witnessed history today. This is the place where, 25 years ago in 1999, producer Firoz Nadiadwala, actor Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, and writer Paresh Rawal started the iconic journey for the biggest Indian comedy film series, Hera Pheri.
Ever since the announcement of the making of the sequel of Hera Pheri, it is all over the social media. The huge fans following the series was thrilled.
However, Akshay Kumar had denied being a part of the third sequel previously in the past having some concerns with the script of the movie. He felt that Hera Pheri, specifically being so loved and hyped by the public, should meet the expectations of their anticipation.
There was even news for Kartik Aryan to be casting as the next Raju in the upcoming part.
On the other hand, the public very seriously was against this decision and made several requests online for casting of only Akshay Kumar as Raju in the movie.
Later there were ample of meetings that took place in the Empire Studios and Akshay finally was happy with the script.
Sunil and Firoz are allegedly reported to be the ones who managed to bring Akshay back to the trio on public demand. Unlike previous series, this series of the film will not be directed by Anees Bazmee, and will be led instead by Farhad Samji.
The Female cast for the movie has not been decided yet, but we expect for their announcement soon.
Hera Pheri and then Hera Pheri 2 with its main characters in a trio as Raju, Shyam and Baburao played by Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal respectively have gained immense popularity for the comic series especially over the past two decades.
The comedy series in its previous release also starred Tabu, Om Puri and Gulshan Grover. Hera Pheri (1999) was written by Neera Vora and was directed by Neeraj. This Hindi film (Hera Pheri) is a remake of the Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking (1989).Â
Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal also did return for the sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, which was released in 2006. Neeraj had directed this part as well however, with his untimely demise in 2017, the third film was hanging on for a long time now.
Hera Pheri is loved by all be it youngsters or millennials. The popularity is spread all over the Internet and is known Door-to-door today that it has transformed into a kind of cult for the followers of the series.
The fan following of this ultimate comedy series had been waiting a very long time for the shooting to get started.
They are even predicting that the comedy film could break records more than previous records the earlier parts of the film are holding right now at the box office.
The excited fans shared their happiness over the film finally going ahead, some even put-up memes and funny videos. Besides the comments on the original cast returning, one fan stated, “HeraPheri3 can demolish every record if made well.
The movie is set to be released in October 2024.
The hype is high from day one only and we expect for our expectations to be fulfilled by the India’s biggest comedy series ever made!
