Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, popularly known as KCR, has directed the finance department to release ₹105 crores for the upcoming decennial celebrations of Telangana state formation. The announcement was made during the Collectors’ and SPs’ conference held at the state secretariat on Thursday. According to an official release from the Chief Minister’s office, the funds will be allocated to all 33 district collectors in the state to ensure the 21-day-long celebrations are conducted on a grand scale.

The Chief Minister outlined the day-wise programs that will be conducted during the 21-day celebrations, urging district administrations and state-level officials to extensively campaign the achievements made by the state since its formation on June 2, 2014. KCR emphasized the sacrifices made by individuals who laid down their lives for the establishment of a separate Telangana state and called for efforts to showcase the state’s development over the past nine years.
Highlighting the significance of Telangana’s statehood, KCR stated that it was achieved through a democratic process without significant bloodshed. He praised the state for becoming a role model for the entire country through a series of welfare and developmental programs.

Extensive Preparations for 10th Anniversary of Telangana State Formation
In preparation for the 10th-anniversary celebrations, the Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements and expressed his desire to organize the event on a large scale, involving all sections of society. He instructed the district collectors to adhere to the day-wise schedule that has been finalized for the districts. KCR emphasized the need for a festive atmosphere throughout the state for the three-week-long celebrations, starting from June 2.
To ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations, KCR urged the district collectors to coordinate with ministers, MLAs, and other public representatives. In a symbolic gesture, the Chief Minister will personally inaugurate the Telangana state formation anniversary celebrations on June 2. Commencing the event at Gun Park in Hyderabad, he will pay heartfelt tributes to the Telangana martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause. The significance of the occasion will be further emphasized as he unfurls the national flag at the Telangana secretariat premises. With great enthusiasm, the Chief Minister will then address the participants, setting the tone for the festive and patriotic atmosphere that will envelop the celebrations.
The scheduled daily programs will focus on highlighting the progress achieved by the state in various sectors such as electricity, agriculture, irrigation, healthcare, and industry. Additionally, the initiatives implemented for the welfare of farmers and other sections of society will be showcased during the celebrations.
Top officials from various departments convened at the state secretariat for a day-long meeting chaired by KCR. The gathering included cabinet colleagues, government advisors, the chief secretary, secretaries from the Chief Minister’s Office, district collectors, superintendents of police, the Director General of Police, and other prominent officials.
