Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan addressed a huge rally in Islamabad. The rally comes ahead of the no-confidence motion that the opposition will place against Imran Khan in the National Assembly. Earlier there were rumours that Imran khan might quit from his position. However, Mr. Prime Minister alleged the foreign culprits of dislodging his government.
The ruling party of Pakistan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf is blaming that the opposition and the foreign perpetrators are conspiring against the ruling government. None of the government in Pakistan is able to complete their 5 years of tenure. Now also, the opposition plans to topple the Imran government due to his negligence towards rising prices in the nation.
Several activists of the party reached Islamabad to attend the rally. Earlier, Prime Minister asked for their support through a voice note. The PTI shared it on its official twitter handle, asking people to come in attend the rally in huge numbers. In his message said, “Today is a battle for Pakistan and not the PTI. It’s a huge battle for the future of our nations. All those who are leaving for the event, leave early so as to avoid rush and blockades. God willing, we will create history today.”
Major highlights of the rally
During the event, Imran Khan slammed the corrupt and wealthy people of Pakistan. He alleges that Pakistan is suffering because of white collar criminals. Imran Kahn also attacked the past 3 Prime Ministers of the nation, saying, “3 rats have looted the country from the past 30 years.”
Further, Imran Khan admired the present condition of Pakistan’s economy. Imran Khan said, “No government has delivered as much as my government. I am proud that the steps taken during the COVID pandemic are recognised globally. Pakistan has witnessed record economic growth despite COVID-19.” On the other hand, data suggests that massive inflation, corruption, unemployment, and hike in price is causing the economy to deteriorate.
Moreover, Imran Khan mentioned, that his government introduced the bill to provide women their equal right in property inheritance. The Prime Minister also says that “the foreign policy their government adopted, has improved Pakistan’s relations with the international community. But, now the foreign forces are manipulating the stability and foreign policy of my government. They are trying their best to destabilize my government. I have proof of it and will take them out on perfect time.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan stated that Pakistan’s economy is affected by the corrupt NROs of the country. He said, “Poor countries are backward because the law there fails to catch the rich who are involved in white collar crimes. They transfer stolen and looted money to offshore accounts. Small thieves do not destroy a country like the way big thieves do.”
He also stated, that the “drama” is being done so that Imran Khan Surrenders like Musharraf. He said that “they are black mailing my government. General Musharraf tried to save his government and as a result gave these thieves NRO. It destroyed Pakistan.” “Whatever happens, I will not forgive them even if my government goes or even if I lose my life”, he said.
Huge crowd at the rally
The crowd started gathering at the event early morning. All the highways leading to Islamabad were heavily jammed by the PTI supporters. Everyone danced to party anthems and shouted slogans like, “Long Live Imran Khan.”
PTI members said that they expected about a million people to attend the event. However the venue could have accommodated just 30000 people.
