Jung Hoseok, aka J-Hope of BTS, is having a solo comeback before lollapalooza, “Jack in the Box” in July 2022.
Jung Ho-seok, popularly known as J-Hope, rapper, dancer, songwriter and producer released his first teaser for his upcoming album “Jack In The Box.” BigHit Music announced on the 26th at midnight KST that J-hope’s solo album “Jack In The Box” will be released next month. J-hope’s album “Jack In The Box,” as the title suggests, represents his desire to break out of the mould and grow on his own.
BTS has begun a new chapter in which the members will carry out their group and individual activities in harmony. J-hope will be the first member of BTS to embark on this new adventure and release his solo album. With the release of j-hope’s pre-release track on July 1st, diverse content showcasing the j-hope’s creative identity will be introduced.
Following the release of the teaser, J-hope took to Instagram to share the album’s release. He also made a Weverse post in which he expressed his excitement about the upcoming album, captioned “시작해볼게요!!!!!! LETS GOOOOo!!”. J-hope’s instagram bio was recently changed to “Get ready for Jack in the Box.” He also made a post on instagram with the caption “Jack in the box.”
The album announcement came shortly after Lollapalooza announced J-Hope would headline the festival in July, making him the first South Korean to do so. At the end of the agency’s announcement, they asked the fans for support and love for their artist.

J-Hope previous releases
On March 1, 2018, J-hope released his first solo mixtape, Hope World, which included a music video for the title track “Daydream.” On March 6, a video for the B-side “Airplane” was released.
The album received favourable reviews from critics and the EP debuted at number 63 on the Billboard 200 and peaked at number 38, making him the highest-charting solo Korean artist at the time. On September 27, 2019, j-hope released a free collaboration single, “Chicken Noodle Soup,” with American singer Becky G. It debuted at number 81 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019, making J-Hope the first member of BTS to enter the chart as a soloist.
On March 1, 2021, for the three-year anniversary of his mixtape, ‘Hope World’, j-hope released a full, three-minute long version of its closing track “Blue Side (Outro).”
