South Korean soloist, Kang Daniel paired up with Jessi for a song featured in his album, released earlier this year.
Earlier this year, Kang Daniel released his first full album, ‘The Story’ since his solo debut. The album consists of ten tracks. His first full-length album, The Story, includes an addictive Latin-pop fueled track called ‘Don’t Tell featuring Jessi, and the lyrics discuss how a special connection can’t be explained with words.
‘Don’t Tell’ with Jessi was the most memorable project for Kang Daniel, and he intends to express his gratitude, especially to Jessi & Sokodomo who appeared in the music videos. The MV features a lot of dancing, Daniel makes sure to give limelight to the dancers as well.
Daniel continues by expressing his gratitude to Jessi for her enthusiasm while they were creating the music. Jessi was not bound by a contract, and the collaboration was not at all planned out. She merely came to support and assist him in all of his endeavors. Finally, everything came together perfectly, and Daniel was incredibly grateful.
After Wanna One’s activities as a group came to an end, Kang Daniel took a six-month break from the entertainment business and took control of his career. He released his solo debut EP, ‘Colour on Me,’ in the middle of 2019. The album was a commercial success and peaked at number one on Gaon Album Chart.
As a solo artist, he was able to earn his first top-five single in Korea and become a Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart debutant with his single ‘Paranoia.’ His other endeavors include founding Konnect Entertainment, an independent entertainment company, to manage his career.
Since then, Konnect Entertainment has grown to manage the careers of other artists as well as himself. In addition to his work as a musician and company CEO, Kang Daniel made his acting debut and served as the host of Mnet’s ‘Street Woman Fighter’ and its spinoff, ‘Street Dance Girls Fighter’ (2021).
