Veteran Kannada actor Krishna G Rao took his last breath, on Wednesday. The 70-year- old actor played the role of a blind man in Yash-starrer KGF Chapter 1 and was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru due to age-related ailments. According to reports, the actor was lapsed while at a relative’s house and rushed to Vinayak Hospital. The actor was thereafter admitted to the ICU.

The actor gained nationwide fame after playing the role of a blind worker in the Narachi gold mine in ‘KGF: Chapter 1′. His part is one of the film’s turning points and is recognized as one of the most watched scenes in KGF. However, Rao had been in cinema dedicatedly as an actor and assistant director for decades.
Rao faced breathing issues
If reports are to be believed, the actor sensed some difficulty in breathing, before he lapsed. And, was shifted to ICU. He was given a respiratory tract ailment at the hospital. But sadly, he failed to respond to treatment and bid adieu to the world.His death is indeed a big loss for the Kannada film industry.
KGF production house shows respect
The production house of KGF Chapter 1, Hombale Films dropped a still of Krishna G Rao from the KGF and mourned his demise. The producers took to the medium of the Internet and shared their condolences from the Hombale film team for the demise of the actor. The makers also shared that KGF fans called him Thatha affectionately. They concluded with Om Shanti.
Rao’s film
Reportedly, post his role in KGF, Krishna did 30 more Kannada films.Krishna was acting in a titular role for his upcoming Nano Naryanappa’. The movie’s trailer was out on September 21 and is slated to release next year. In this movie, he played the role of an aging supporting actor, who works really hard to pay for his wife’s treatment. His last film will be Nano Narayanappa.
