The handiwork of the ISI
Jaswant Singh Thakedar, a former pro-Khalistan leader, exposed the open secret that there are symbiotic arrangements between the Khalistan organization and Pakistan’s deep state, such as the ISI.
Jaswant Singh characterizes the Khalistan referendum being promoted in Western countries as the, handiwork of Pakistan’s ISI. He termed these Referendum attempts, with the active support of ISI, as “pakhand.”
Jaswant Singh clarified that these referendum attempts by pro-Khalistan organizations are an attempt to mislead people and have nothing to do with Sikhs in India.
Refrendum 2020
Jaswant Singh Thekedar is a UK-based former pro-Khalistan separatist leader. He was interviewed by a news agency called ANI, where he exposed the nexus between ISI and pro-Khalistani organizations operating from western countries like the UK, Canada, the USA, and others.
As per Jaswant Singh, the Referendum of 2020, called out by a pro-Khalistan secessionist group called Sikh For Justice (SFI), was Pakistan’s ISI handiwork and a “pakhand”
Sikhs for Justice is a secessionist organization headed by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. SFI called for Referendum 2020, whose purpose was to seek and build consensus among the Sikh community for the sinister purpose of seceding Punjab from India.
Sham (pakhand) to mislead people
Mr. Thakedar added that people are aware that these are money-making organizations that prey on their sensibilities. He said the Khalistan Referendum and such organizations are a source of income for them.Â
Attack on Indian mission and consulate
Explaining his stand on the issue of defacing the Consulate in San Francisco, Jaswant Singh unequivocally exonerated the Sikh Community’s role in any such cowardly act. He said these acts are aided and abetted by the ISI, and Pakistan’s deep state is misleading gullible young people, helping them, and committing such reprehensible and cowardly acts. Pakistan is well aware of the fact that she has no chance to win a conventional war against India and thus resorts to such cheap acts to destabilize India.Â
On March 15, 2024, due to a security concern arising from an unauthorised gathering by Khalistani supporters, the Indian consulate in Brisbane, Australia, was forced to close.
On March 16, 2024, the Ministry of External Affairs said India’s Honorary Consulate in Brisbane halted operations for a little while, and the matter is being discussed by the officials of Australia and India.
“Bhindranwale 2.0”
On February 23, 2024, a police station in Ajnala, Punjab, was attacked and stormed by a mob, led by a man named Amritpal Singh. Many Khalistan supporters have been labeled Amritpal Singh and Bhindranwale 2.0.
Amritpal’s suspicious transformation from a clean-shaven youth living in Dubai to a full-bearded, turban-wearing, puritanical leader of organizations called “Warris Punjab De” reeks of ISI handiwork.
Cautioning about miscreants such as Amritpal Singh, produced by Pakistan’s deep state and pregnant with the sadistic goal of destabilizing India, Jaswant Singh said people like Amritpal Singh are not used for their lifetime and several like him will be produced by Pakistan’s deep state.
It’s pertinent to quote former MEA spokesperson Nirupama Rao, who, when asked about missile tests by Pakistan, eloquently said in 2002 that India is not particularly impressed with these missile antics of Pakistan.
