The accused entered the classroom after the students returned from morning assembly, sexually abused the girls, then undressed and urinated in front of the class.
The Delhi Police released a sketch of a guy accused of misbehaving with female kids at a school in northeast Delhi.
While the students were waiting for their teacher to come, an unknown male allegedly forcibly undressed two girls inside the classroom of a civic body-run MCD School in Delhi.
So far, no arrests have been made. The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has issued notifications to the Delhi Police and the commissioner of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC), seeking that the accused and the school authorities be held accountable for allegedly concealing the problem.
According to DCW officials, on April 30, the accused entered the classroom after the students returned from morning assembly, sexually abused the girls, then undressed and urinated in front of the class.
The students informed the principal and class teacher about the incident, but they were asked to keep quiet and forget about what happened.
“He removed the clothes of a girl and muttered obscenities at her. Then he walked over to another girl and removed her clothes and his clothes as well.
Thereafter, the accused closed the door of the classroom and urinated in front of the students… This is a serious matter and warrants immediate action,” the commission wrote in its notice to the police and EDMC.
The Delhi Police claimed they have filed a complaint under the POCSO Act and are conducting searches to apprehend the suspects. They said that a case was filed the same day.
Sanjay Sain, DCP (Northeast), said that the police promptly took notice and were examining the situation. A special team has been constituted to investigate the situation.
There were no CCTV cameras installed at the entrance or within the MCD school. However, a number of CCTV cameras in the area have been checked.
They are being examined in order to identify the suspect. The cops also obtained statements from the females, and based on their descriptions, sketches were created, and two suspects were identified.
A police squad is collaborating closely with school administrators.
DCW chief Swati Maliwal said that, it is completely intolerable that such a heinous act took place in broad daylight in a school, and instead of reporting it, the authorities attempted to keep the incident quiet.
