According to the FIR, the kid’s father said that the home’s owner “molested” the daughter when she spent the night there about a week ago, which leads to death according to Ludhiana News.
The 14-year-old domestic helper’s hanging death at her employer’s home in Ludhiana’s Kundanpuri neighbourhood on Monday was determined to be the result of “asphyxia due to hanging,” according to the autopsy report. Sexual assault and murder were ruled out.
After the young domestic assistant died, a violent demonstration broke out outside the home of her employer as other people, largely migrants, sought the employer’s arrest because the girl had been raped and killed.
The demonstration outside her employer’s home persisted even after the autopsy report determined that the death was a suicide. The girl’s family reportedly said they wouldn’t pick up her body from the hospital. They didn’t have the autopsy report and the perpetrators hadn’t been caught.
Medical Report
A post-mortem was performed by Dr. Charan Kamal, a district forensic specialist, and Dr. Harpreet Singh. A senior medical official and Dr. Sukhjinder Kaur. She is also a senior pathologist at the Ludhiana Civil Hospital.
Dr. Kamal, the board’s chairman, says the victim suffocated from hanging and there are no signs of a new attack. We collected swab samples for semen, spermatozoa, and male DNA to determine recent sexual assaults. In addition, samples of viscera were collected for chemical analysis, according to Dr. Kamal.
The autopsy report: the deceased’s left arm had at least 50 cut marks, including three brand new ones. “This suggests she’s tried to harm herself before,” a senior doctor told The Indian Express. “This happens when a person is experiencing a mental breakdown and has suicidal impulses.”
The girl’s family currently resides in Ludhiana but is originally from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh.
The family of the deceased girl initially opposed the autopsy, but changed their minds after receiving medical advice. In addition, samples of viscera were collected for chemical analysis, according to Dr. Kamal.
The girl’s family and other migrants persisted in their demonstration at Bharat Nagar Chowk, where they attempted to obstruct traffic. They asserted that the Punjab Police attempted to portray the incident as a “suicide.”
Monday afternoon, another housekeeper found the girl hanging from a fan on the first floor. Outside the home, her family gathered and said that she had been raped and killed. The police had to use force to shoo the demonstrators away after they demanded quick admission into the home and attacked cars and an ambulance carrying the body for an autopsy with rocks. Several police officers sustained minor injuries during the assault.
Police Statement On The Case
The furious family members of the deceased girl eventually came home only after the police gave them assurances that a case would be filed and the proper punishment would be meted out against the offenders.
According to ACP (civil lines) Harish Behl, “An FIR for murder has been launched against the house owner based on the complaint of the girl’s father.” Additionally, a DDR was brought against the protesters.
The victim was the eldest of the victim’s five children, according to the girl’s father, an e-rickshaw driver by trade. She worked from dawn until late for Rs 7,500 per month, according to The Indian Express.
Father’s Statement
In his statement, the girl’s father claimed that on Monday at around 4.30 pm, Sharma, the girl’s employer, called to inform them that the girl had hanged herself from a ceiling fan using her dupatta. The father claimed that when they arrived, another domestic helper named Bimla informed them that the girl had been found hanged at around one o’clock. According to The Indian Express, he claimed that even though Sharma learned of the girl’s death at roughly 1 pm, he only told the family at 4.30 pm.
The girl’s father allegedly claimed in the FIR that the property owner “molested” the girl when she spent the night at his house around a week ago.
“Since his wife continues to be ill, he requested that my daughter spend one night in their home. The following day, our daughter informed us that Sharma had assaulted her. She was going to be fired, we had decided. She had, however, reported to work on Monday as well after the home’s owner had called to discuss the condition of her wife. In his statement, his father claimed that he killed her before hanging the body to appear to have committed suicide.
The body was discovered by the police hanging from a ceiling fan, according to ACP Behl. The autopsy was performed, however, the ACP also stated that the inquiry into the incident was still ongoing.
