kidnapped minor girl rescued from Bihar: Delhi police

NEW DELHI: A minor young girl who was allegedly kidnapped a long time back from the national capital has been rescued from Purnia in Bihar, police said here on Tuesday. The accused Nadir (28), resident of Purnia district, was arrested ,they said.
A cash reward of Rs one lakh was declared for giving clues about the missing victim they said.
Anti-human trafficking unit of the crime branch has recovered more then 90 minor young girls such a long ways during this year, police said.
The kidnapped young girl was around 13 at the time of registration of the case. She was reportedly kidnapped on August 11, 2019 from southeast Delhi.
As per a senior cop, the accused used to reside in a similar Delhi region where the victim family resides. He used to visit her residence frequently. Afterward, he baited her and took her along with him.
After making efforts for three days, police arrested the accused and recovered the victim from Purnia on September 13, Deputy Commissioners of Police (crime) Vichitra veer said. Nadir was declared guilty in this cash by the saket court Bihar on April 1, police said.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused lured the victim on pretext for marriage and had solemnized marriage with her. Out of this the bounds of marriage, one girl was born into the world in Nepal in march police said.
The victim and accused were brought to Delhi and relevant sections of IPC and POCSO Act have been added to the current case.
The victim was produced before the court concerned after the medical examination , and a statement under section 164 CrPC was recorded, police said.
