The movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar (TJMM), starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, crossed Rs 100 crores in India on the 11th day after its release date. The movie TJMM, directed by Luv Ranjan, was theatrically released on March 8, 2024.
The 2024 Indian romantic comedy movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar was written by Rahul Mody and Luv Ranjan. Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor play the lead roles in this Luv Films and T-Series Films production, which also stars Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia, and Boney Kapoor in supporting roles.
Ranbir and Shraddha started filming on January 8th, 2021 in Ghaziabad. In Delhi, the movie’s second schedule began. In March 2022, Mumbai served as the location for the following schedule and then the following schedule was held in June 2022 in Spain and Mauritius.
The newest Bollywood film, TJMM, debuted in theaters on its first day and managed to amass a respectable box office collection on Day 1. An estimated Rs 14 crore was collected on Day 1 of the movie.
At the international box office, the film has already brought in more than 122 crore. In the movie, Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor worked together for the first time. Shraddha Kapoor returned to the big screen after three years with Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar.
Review of the movie: Plot
The main plot of the movie is the meeting of Ranbir Kapoor as Rohan Arora (Micky) and Shraddha Kapoor as Nisha Malhotra (Tinny) at the bachelor celebrations of their respective closest buddies. Together with his pal Mannu (Anubhav Singh Bassi), Micky is a break-up guru, and Tinny works a 9-to-5 job.
According to TJMM, Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Micky, is a family-oriented person, but Shraddha Kapoor is an independent woman who prioritizes her career over her family and is less of a family person.
Though it improved in the second half, the movie fell short of exceeding expectations. It’s comforting to know that director Luv Ranjan touched on a problem that most couples experience, especially in this day and age.
With his last success, Brahmastra: Part One: Shiva, which went on to become the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2022, Ranbir now has two straight hits with TJMM. The domestic box office took in 257 crores. Sanju, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Barfi are the other four films that Ranbir has that have grossed over 100 crores.
The five movies that Shraddha has previously worked in as a lead are Ek Villain, ABCD 2, Stree, Saaho, and Chhichhore, which collectively grossed more than 100 crores. Very soon, Shraddha Kapoor is going to start working for Stree 2. She gave a “refreshing” performance in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, according to Shraddha.
Budget of the movie:
Since the filmmakers haven’t made an official announcement about the Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar Budget, the fact is not currently accessible to the general public.
Nonetheless, it is realistic to presume that the movie’s budget would be considerable given the star cast and the caliber of the production. The production team reportedly used cutting-edge tools and technology to improve the visual effects while filming the movie in several different locales.
However, given the intense interest and hype around the film, the expense of promotion and marketing is also anticipated to be high. The movie’s box office success will primarily depend on how well it does financially; only then can the budget be precisely assessed.
