MTV EMA (Europe Music Awards) 2022 held on Sunday at the PSD bank dome in Dusseldorf, Germany turned out to be a star-studded evening.
The EMA’s 2022 featured electrifying performances by OneRepublic, Stormzy and Debbie, Ava Max, Lewis Capaldi, Tate McRae, SPINALL, GAYLE, Ayanna and Nasty C, and Kalush Orchestra. The quintessential awards ceremony was hosted by Rita Ora and director Taika Waititi.
BOW DOWN TO THE MUSICAL QUEEN TAYLOR SWIFT
Gracing the awards in her embellished ensemble, Taylor Swift maintained her winning streak. The record-breaking artist won 4 major awards including best pop, best artist, best video, and best long-form video for All Too Well at the awards ceremony.
Among other huge artists who walked away being triumphant were Nicki Minaj was awarded best Hip Hop and Best Song for Super Freaky Girl and Harry Styles also clinched an award in the Best Live category.
BTS, BLACKPINK, TXT, And SEVENTEEN Emerge Victorious At The MTV EMA’s 2022
Over the years, the revolutionary influence that the KPOP has had over the Music Industry and the whole world is noteworthy. BTS being the undisputed kings of having the biggest fandom retained their crown as they were awarded for Biggest Fans making it their fifth consecutive win at the EMA’s.
BLACKPINK, which is among the most popular girl groups globally, won the award for Best Metaverse Performance ( For their PUBG Mobile in-game concert “The Virtual”). Meanwhile, Lisa bagged an award for Best K-Pop.
This year the MTV EMA’s awards ceremony witnessed fresh new entries in the KPOP fraternity as the South Korean Boy Group SEVENTEEN was awarded Best New Artist and the Best Push Performance and TXT snagged the award for Best Asia Act respectively.
