On Thursday, the names of the recipients for the National Film Awards 2024 were declared. Big names for the awards include Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Allu Arjun, and many more.
After the news of her win, Kriti Sanon professed that she was in a meeting during that time of the evening when news broke. She was getting non-stop calls from everyone and she had to step out of the meeting after telling her manager to manage it for a while. That was when she really knew about her win for the best actress award for the film Mimi.
She had quickly run to her parents and shared the news with them. They hugged and cried because everything was so emotional, according to her words. Kriti was ecstatic in her happiness and shared the memorable moments with the news. In the film Mimi, Kriti was portrayed as a surrogate mother.
After the win, Kriti had taken to Instagram to share her gratitude and elation after the win, thanking the jury, Laxman sir, Dinoo, and her parents. She congratulated Alia for her win, too, in that post.

The winners list for the 69th National film awards was presented by the National Media Center from New Delhi. The list honored the best films produced in 2021 in every language of India. All the feature and non-feature films that have been approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in the year of 2021 were considered.
The best feature film award was given to Rocketry and the best director award went to Nikhil Mahajan from Godavari. Providing big respect and honor to the south Indian film industry, RRR received the best popular film providing wholesome entertainment award.
South Indian film actor, Suriya Sivakumar, took to Twitter to congratulate Allu Arjun for getting the best actor award for his acting in the movie Pushpa. Suriya Sivakumar heartily mentioned that Allu Arjun made history for the Telugu film industry.
The Nargis Dutt award for the best feature film on National Integration went to The Kashmir Files for its great showcase of Kashmir history. Pallavi Joshi won the award for best supporting actress for her acting in The Kashmir Files.

Other big names include Alia Bhatt, who got the best actress award for her acting in Gangubai Kathiawadi. Utkarshini Vashishtha and Prakash Kapadia also won the awards for best dialogue writer for their acting in Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Aside from that Sanjay Lella Bhansali and Utkarshini Vashishtha also won the best screenplay (adapted) award for the same movie. Pankaj Tripathi received the best supporting actor award for the film Mimi and the best Hindi film award went to Sardar Udham, which had Vicky Kaushal as its lead actor.
Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to write a hearty thanks for her national award win. She had dedicated the win to Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the entire crew for Gangubai Kathiawadi, her family, her team, and lastly, the audience. Her emotional message for the role of best actress was something that has been loved by her audience.
Rakshit Shetty, who is an actor from the south, took to twitter to speak about his joy for Charlie 777 winning the award for the best Kannada film. His message read that words can never justify the kind of happiness that he was feeling. He was ecstatic and overwhelmed, but also humbled and grateful for the award.
