The Panvel Taluka police filed a case against a 27-year-old delivery man of a food aggregator for the alleged molestation of a 19-year-old young girl while conveying an order.
The occurrence happened last week when the young girl was alone at home. The accused identified as Mohammad Rizwan Shah supposedly contacted her improperly when he was delivering food.
The young girl is a second-year student and stays with three other school companions in a housing society at Kon village in Panvel.
As indicated by police, on Tuesday night at around 8:30 pm, they had requested food from a food aggregator stage. At the point when the survivor opened the door to take the food bundle, the accused Shah contacted her improperly while giving over the package.
At the point when he left that spot, the young girl went to Panvel Taluka Police station and filed a complaint. Accordingly, the police registered a molestation complaint against the accused. After that, the police enlisted a case and got the photograph of the accused from the CCTV film for the structure.
The police followed the accused and called him to the police station for addressing. The accused let the police know that he inadvertently contacted the young girl while taking care of the package. The police issued a notice and released him.
Senior Police inspector Ravindra Daundkar said that he will be called again when vital.
