Priyanka Chaturvedi’s criticism
Shiv Sena MP, a member of the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday for holding Marathi Dandiya during Navratri, claiming the activity was an attempt to polarise Mumbai’s population.Â
In an interview with ANI, Chaturvedi stated, “Up until this point, we have seen Ganpati and Navratri as one event. But it is regrettable to divide the holiday along caste, religious, and national lines.
When Christmas is observed nationwide, according to Chaturvedi, people do not distinguish it as a Gujarati Christmas or anything else.Â
We are all together, and everyone celebrates Navratri in their unique style as a symbol of Durga puja. BJP conducts politics in this manner. The Shiv Sena MP stated, “It is all about how they would segregate people according to their economic standards, castes, and state status.
She added that Mumbai residents will reject an “unconstitutional government” because they toppled a previous administration in which the chief minister was from Mumbai and supported them through thick and thin. Mumbai residents are observing everything, Chaturvedi continued.Â
According to BJP MLA Mihir Kotecha, she must first master Marathi, according to ANI. We don’t separate people based on caste.
Notably, the BJP has declared that during the Navratri celebration, which starts tomorrow, Marathi Dandiya will be held throughout Mumbai. (Source: ANI)
