Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Russian mercenaries, was named as a passenger on a private plane that crashed north of Moscow with no survivors, leading to his presumed death.
On June 23–24, Prigozhin, 62, led a coup against the senior military officials in Russia,which President Vladimir Putin said had the country into civil war.
Others who resisted Putin or his objectives either perished mysteriously or were in danger of dying.

Alexander Navalny was being poisoned:
In August 2020, Alexei Navalny, the leader of Russia’s most well-known opposition, traveled to Germany for medical care after being poisoned in Siberia with what Western specialists determined to be the military nerve weapon Novichok. The role of Russia has been refuted.
Due to his voluntary return to Russia in 2021, Navalny won praise from people all over the world. Once there, he was detained without delay. The terms he is currently serving for fraud and other crimes, which he claims are false, total 11-and-a-half years. It has been deemed “extremist” and his political movement is now illegal. Recently, the sentence for Navalny was extended by an additional 19 years in a maximum-security prison colony.
An Embraer business jet crashed in the Tver
On Wednesday night, an Embraer business aircraft that was traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg crashed in the Tver region to the north of Moscow. The ten passengers aboard the aircraft were all killed.
Yevgeny Prigozhin was among the passengers and crew listed in the names provided by the head of Russian civil aviation after the incident.
The accident is now being investigated by the Federal Air Transport Agency. A criminal inquiry into potential breaches of the Air Transport Safety and Operation Rules has been launched by the Investigative Committee’s Main Investigative Department.

These critics of Putin have also died suspiciously
Alexander Litvinenko: Alexander Litvinenko, a former KGB agent and critic of President Putin, has also died suspiciously. Radioactive polonium poison was found in Litvinenko’s body. Litvinenko was the director of the FSB, which was run by Putin. Later he fiercely criticized Putin after leaving it. Litvinenko also blamed Putin for the 1991 apartment bombing. In this, almost 100 people lost their lives.
Anna Politkovskaya: In 2006, someone shot and killed the Russian journalist, Anna Politkovskaya. Anna was in the lift to her flat at that time. Putin received a harsh critique in a book he had authored.
Denis Voronenkov: Russian MP Denis Voronenkov was shot dead in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Denis was critical of Putin and left Russia for Ukraine as the controversy escalated. In 2017, he was shot in a hotel by unknown attackers. In 2014, Denis was the one who voiced opposition to Putin’s annexation of Crimea.
Mikhail Lesin: In 2017, former Russian Press Minister Mikhail Lesin was beaten to death in a hotel in Washington.
Boris Nemtsov: The opposition party leader in Russia, Boris Nemtsov, was shot and killed. Boris had also been the deputy PM. Apart from this, many Russian businessmen and politicians have died suspiciously, including Paul Klebnikov, Boris Berezovsky, Stanislav Markelov, Anastasia Baburova, Sergei Magnitsky, Natalia Estemirova, Sergei Yushenkov, Yuri Shekochikhin.
