Actress Riya Sen joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra today in the Akola region of Maharashtra and walked alongside party leader Rahul Gandhi.
Pictures and videos of the actor talking to Rahul while they were out and about were posted on social media. A number of images of Riya Sen and Rahul Gandhi taking part in the 71st day of the foot march were posted on the Indian National Congress’ official Instagram account.
She took to Twitter to share her thoughts on the yatra. “Happy to be a part of this platform, not only from the film industry but also as a proud citizen!” the 41-year-old actor wrote.
“Grateful to be a part of an initiative that is focused on bringing the people of this country together! @RahulGandhi thank you for championing this bold initiative in a show of unity. #BharatJodoYatra,” Riya Sen said.

She referred to the Bharat Jodo Yatra as a “display of oneness” in an earlier post.
Riya is from a famous acting family that also includes her mother Moon Moon Sen, her sister Raima Sen, and her grandma Suchitra Sen. Riya appeared in the 1998 music video for Falguni Pathak’s song Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi when she was only 16 years old.
Style, a 2001 low-budget comedy directed by N Chandra, became her first commercial breakthrough in the film industry. Later, Riya appeared in other Hindi movies, including Ajay Devgn’s Qayamat: City Under Threat and Sujoy Ghosh’s musical drama Jhankaar Beats.
Riya has acted in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam as well. She has not recently been spotted in movies.
Bharat Jodo Yatra is getting support from Bollywood Actors
Filmmaker-actor Pooja Bhatt participated in the yatra in Hyderabad earlier this month. Pooja Bhatt posted images and video from her Bharat Jodo Yatra with Rahul Gandhi on Instagram. Using the hashtags “Bharat Jodo Yatra” and “Hyderabad,” she added, “The audacity of hope!” and included Rahul Gandhi in her post.
Riteish Deshmukh, the son of former Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, shared an image from Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in which a supporter was seen hoisting a sizable portrait of his father over the yatris. Riteish’s wife, Genelia, who is also an actor, also posted the picture. Riteish was asked by a number of social media users and followers why he did not participate in the yatra.
On September 7, Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu hosted the start of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, a mass contact campaign of the Congress. In addition to other states, Rahul Gandhi has finished the marathon walk in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. On November 7, in the Nanded district, it entered Maharashtra.
After stopping over the previous night at a ginning pressing factory, the yatra set out from Patur at 6 a.m. on Thursday. On Thursday night, it will travel to Balapur, and on Friday morning, it will arrive in the Buldhana district at Shegaon.
In addition to Nanded, it has so far covered the state’s Hingoli and Washim districts. Before moving on to Madhya Pradesh on November 20, the march would pass through the Maharashtra districts of Akola and Buldhana.
