Ram Setu, featuring actor Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Nusrat Bharucha, is off to a good start at the box office. The movie made around ₹15 crore on its first day of release (October 25), which is apparently the second-best opening day for a Hindi original movie in 2022.
What do the experts have to say about Ram Setu film?
The trade expert, Joginder Tuteja, also shared his views on Ram Setu. Joginder said that on Diwali, high-octane action or comedies are always witnessed but Ram Setu also has some drama. Nevertheless, the movie went ahead and made ₹15 crore on its opening day, which is a major deal and the outcome of positive word-of-mouth.
Hollywood’s superhero movie was also a rival for it. But, Ram Setu overcame everything and did so well, which is amazing. It has truly spread holiday pleasure to both the spectators and the exhibitors.
Another in the list is the trade expert, Atul Mohan, as he sees Ram Setu as the ultimate Diwali excursion and has brought holiday pleasure to the box office as the shows have considerably climbed in popularity. He undertakes a mission to prove the existence of Ram Setu – the bridge between India and Sri Lanka that is mentioned in the epic Ramayana. The Legend, the story behind the Ram Setu
In the epic Ramayana, a religious text as well of the Hindus, Lord Rama along with Hanuman, Nal, Neel with the help from Vaanar Sena, built a bridge to rescue Lord Rama’s wife, Mata Sita. Sita was kidnapped by Raavana and was kept in Lanka. There was a huge ocean gap between India and Sri Lanka and no means to cross that gap as well. As a solution to that, the bridge was built by throwing huge stones with a carving of ‘Shree Rama’ and the stones floated. That bridge was named ‘Ram Setu’.
