Ranbir talked about his film ‘Bombay velvet’
Ranbir Kapoor had recently arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to attend the Red Sea International Film Festival, where he not only talked about the flops of his films, but with this he also talked about Anurag Kashyap’s directorial film ‘Bombay’. Said such a thing about Velvet, listening to which Anurag Kashyap might get angry.
During the interview, Ranbir spoke candidly about his films throughout these 15 years, and how some of them didn’t do well at the box office. As he said about his film Bombay Velvet that ‘it was not a good film, and that its failure at the box office was a well-deserved fate’. he was interrupted by a fan in the audience who said, ‘it’s because of Karan Johar that he was also in this film’.
Ranbir laughed and told his fan that, ‘It would be unfair to accuse the producer-director of this film who starred as the antagonist in Anurag Kashyap’s directorial’.
In an exclusive conversation with Brut India, Ranbir Kapoor talks about his flop films over the years. During this interview, he said about Bombay Velvet, ‘When I was working on this film, I felt that this film is a wonderful one, because a director like Anurag Kashyap is directing this film and all the actors of this film were very good’.

He also said that ‘when you start a film, you lose your perspective and completely dedicate yourself to the filmmaking and the character. So, Bombay Velvet was also something like that’.
Ranbir Kapoor also talked about his other projects and expressed his reaction to the flop of Anurag Basu’s film Jagga Jasoos, saying, ‘It is the only flop film in my career that has made me very sad, because we made that film with full passion’.
Brahmastra as a blockbuster at the box office
Nowadays, Ranbir Kapoor remains a topic of discussion among people for different reasons. After making headlines with Shamshera becoming such a disaster at the box office, he has yet again managed to pull the audience to the theaters with his recently released movie Brahmastra.
