Rani Mukherjee has been enjoying the success of her film Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway which has released recently in the theatres. The audience have become awestruck after watching the film and not only fans, many celebrities also praised Rani through social media. Her co-star Shahrukh Khan also appreciated the actress for reflecting the struggles of people on the silver screen.
Rani has recently revealed that she is immensely happy to receive the positive response from the audience and she thanked them for giving so much love. She further added that a good film never fails to connect and will always find its audience. Rani remarked that she is glad that Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is showing us that a content film can be a theatrical film in a post-pandemic world. She feels as an industry they just need to make films that touch people’s heart and not focus on which genre will work on the big screen and which won’t. If they make a film, that’s good, there will always be an audience who will come to the big screen to have a unique viewing experience.
She further added that as a society we want to celebrate and experience things together. So, she has never believed that people are turning their backs to theatres after the pandemic. People just want to see new, fresh and disruptive content that is engaging enough for them to step out and invest their time on money over it. The film Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway in its first three days of release has earned a collection of Rs. 6.42 crore in India. It was released on March 17th and is directed by Ashima Chhibber. The movie is based on the real story of an immigrant mother who battled against an entire country to win the custody of her own kids. However, the film has done really well in the theatres till now and the further performance is much awaited.
