Romantic Thriller The story is being told in such a way that every character’s decision makes sense and is logical. Deep Water has a lot of similarities to a dysfunctional relationship, but everything is executed in the worst way.
The plot follows a wealthy husband who allows his wife to have affairs to avoid divorce and becomes a prime suspect in her lovers’ disappearance.
In this romantic thriller, Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas play a couple who have fallen out of love. The mind games add to the film’s mystery. They do a terrific job of driving each other crazy and playing mind games that come back to haunt them later. Armas and Affleck have genuine chemistry. It’s amusing to watch how frequently Vic and Melinda undervalue one other since he doesn’t respect her brains and she enjoys making him uncomfortable.Â
When People start dying, it becomes the film’s main thrill and mystery, except that the mystery is hardly present.
The first 30-45 minutes of the film are the best because they establish their characters, the unsettling mysteries surrounding them, and the tension created by men in wife’s life. After that, it’s downhill.
