In later hours, some Witnesses, a massive explosion near Kyiv’s main airport. In the meantime, India evacuated 182 more nationals on a particular flight from crisis-hit Ukraine.
Today, on February 24: Russia declares war against Ukraine. Still, there is no clear indication whether Putin will launch a mass assault on Ukraine with the tens of thousands of troops he has gathered on its borders.

India facilitating return of 20,000 Indians from Ukraine
More than 20 thousand Indians are trapped in Ukraine. As per India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, T.S. Tirumurti said that proper arrangements are being made for Indians. to get back to India safely. On February 24, a unique Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) landed at Delhi’s IGI from Ukraine, carrying 182 Indian citizens.
Ukraine scrambles to protect borders as Russia strikes from the south
Other than Kyiv in the north, reports of military engagements extended to Odesa in the south, where Russian troops were landing. Dmytry Kuleba, Ukraine’s foreign minister, said it was “a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.”
Moscow stops trading; ruble falls to a record low
Moscow’s Stock Exchange said it was “suspending” trading Thursday. Later after hours, President Vladimir Putin declared a special military operation in Ukraine.
