he Kremlin on Tuesday stated that the killings in Bucha are a ‘Monstrous Forgery’ against Moscow aimed at defaming the Russian army.
On Tuesday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov dismissed all the western allegations. According to the images disseminated by the Ukrainian authorities, they describe the violent war crimes Russian forces committed. The actions of Russian forces have been condemned by the world’s major leaders.
However, Russia has repeatedly declined western and Ukrainian claims regarding the Bucha massacre. Since the Russian army withdrew from Bucha and areas near Kyiv oblast, Ukraine has been exhibiting the lying corpses of soldiers.
The corpses are claimed to be civilians. Furthermore, the West and some other countries regard the killing of civilians as a war crime. However, the entire case has yet to be investigated.
A forgery aimed at denigrating Russian army: Dmitry Peskov
The Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, said, “It is simply a well-directed-but tragically-titled show by Ukraine. It is a forgery aimed at defaming Russian forces—and it will not work.
Further, while talking to the Reuters reporters, Peskov said, “We once again urge the international community to detach itself from such emotional perceptions and think with its head”. The international community must compare all the facts and understand the monstrous forgery we are dealing with.
Russia portrays the evidence provided by Ukraine in a well-planned show. Further, it says that all this is a part of Ukrainian propaganda. Further, Russian authorities state that all the fakes are very efficiently sponsored by Western public relations companies. However, this statement wasn’t backed by specific evidence.
Above all, Russian authorities claim that Ukrainian forces have killed their own civilians in order to discredit Russia.
The Russian spokesperson claims that all the allegations against Ukraine are backed by solid evidence. Peskov said, “the 72nd Ukrainian Main Center for Psychological Operations had helped stage such propaganda in a village 23 km (14 miles) northwest of Kyiv as well as in Sumy, Konotop, and other towns.”
However, Russia has not published the evidence in the media but constantly claims that the western media has provided an extremely partial narrative while reporting the war. “The collective West has blinkered its eyes and ears and doesn’t want to listen to anything,” Peskov said.
Zelensky accuses Russia of committing “most terrible war crimes”
In his speech to the UN Security Council, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of committing the most terrible war crimes since WW2.
In a video, Zelensky exhibited burned houses, buildings, and bloodied and mutilated bodies, including children, in the towns of Irpin, Dymerka, Mariupol, and Bucha.
He claims that these towns were under Russian occupation for only a few weeks. Ukrainian authorities state that the witnesses are currently extremely traumatised from the havoc.
Shortly after the authorities establish normalcy, they will provide evidence of Russian involvement in the massacre. Additionally, there are satellite images that show dead bodies lying on the streets before the withdrawal of Russian forces from the towns near Kyiv.
