Jamia Milia Islamia is one of the prestigious colleges in India. Recently from, Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi, 12 research students have been selected for the Prime Minister Research Fellowship, 2022.

About Prime Minister’s research scholarship
According to the reports, 12 students from the college have been selected for the Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF). Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI) is extremely proud of the 12 students who have been selected for eh research fellowship, recently. The students who are selected under the scholarship will fall under the Lateral Scheme of the May 2022 drive.
According to one of the professors of JMI, Professor Abdul Qayyum Ansari, the students who have been selected for the research scholarship will be getting a fellowship of rs. 70000 each. Rs. 70000 per individual will be given to the individual for the first year. For the second year, per individual will be given Rs. 70000 and for the third year, fourth, and fifth each individual will be given Rs. 80000 scholarship
Apart from this amount, students will be given another amount for carrying out the research. Each of the students will be given a grant of Rs. 2 lakhs per annum under the PMRF (this makes a total of Rs. 10 lakhs) for carrying out the research work smoothly.
Achievements of Jamia Milia Islamia
According to the sources, Jamila Milia Islamia has made a significant achievement, since 2021. As of 2021, there were only 6 research students selected for the research work under the PMRF. But, In 2022, there are 12 students who are selected under the PMRF.
PMRF comes under the Lateral Entry Scheme of December 2020 drive.
