Trinbago Knight Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan recently celebrated the team’s victory in the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL) championship game. The Women’s Caribbean Premier League was won on Sunday by Tribango Knight Riders over Babarbos Royals by a score of 10 runs.
Shah Rukh Khan took to Instagram to share a video of the team celebrating their victory. He wrote in the caption, “Every victory is special, but this one for the @tkriders Women’s Squad is extra special. Congratulations, you are all stunning and amazing. Yay!!!”
As background music, Shah Rukh used Queen’s “We Are The Champions” by Queen. Fans reacted positively to his post in the comments section. “A king size congratulations, king,” someone wrote. “Congratulations team @tkriders,” another fan said.
Aryan Khan also congratulated the team on his Instagram Stories. He posted a picture of the winning team with their trophy. The post was captioned by Aryan, “The first women’s CPL tournament has already been won. Ladies, congratulations! Hopefully, there will be many more “.
Shah Rukh earlier this year congratulated his Knight Riders franchise on the addition of its first-ever women’s team. He tweeted the Trinbago Knight Riders’ announcement and wrote, “This is a joyous occasion for everyone at @KKRiders, @ADKRiders, and, of course, the wonderful people at @TKRiders. I’m hoping to make it there to see it live!!” Shah Rukh Khan is a co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Los Angeles Knight Riders, and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is gearing up for his film return after a four-year hiatus. The actor was most recently seen in Zero, a 2018 film in which he co-starred with Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. He will appear in Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand and starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He is currently working on Jawan, a film directed by Atlee. He also has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki, starring Taapsee Pannu, in the works.
