Shahid Kapoor’s view on hit projects.
According to him, the definition of stardom has changed after the rise of social media and OTT platforms and even superstars are also not being able to deliver hit movies or series. Though his hits ‘Farzi’ and ‘Bloody Daddy’ were released on OTT, he pointed out a great importance on an entirely different situation.
He has always longed for audiences’ love and respect because he believes that if an artist, be it a filmmaker or actor, has people’s respect, they will be to offer successful projects and have a consistency in their graph. That can be a reason why he opted for OTT projects and showcased his iconic characters.
In his recent interview he said that being an actor or a popular artist doesn’t guarantee a successful project. In fact, audiences nowadays have become more mature and clearer about the content that made Shahid try in OTT to see how people respond.
He further continued by saying that “There are highs and lows which I feel are very opposing in nature”. He pointed out on the factor that nowadays not all successful actors have successful films. Building a reputation among the audience is really important. He said that number of films for an actor or the number of years they have given to the industry doesn’t matter for a hit project.
