stranger to controversies.
What does the postmortem report say?
The post-mortem report of BJP leader Sonali Phogat, who died in Goa earlier this week, mentions “multiple
blunt force injuries” on her body, news agency PTI reported quoting officials.
The findings of the autopsy report add a fresh twist to the mysterious death of the BJP leader as it was
initially reported that she died of a heart attack. Based on the report, the Anjuna Police registered a murder
case against the two associates of the BJP leader and arrested them.
Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Wasi, who had accompanied Phogat when she arrived in Goa on August 22,
Phogat’s family members had alleged foul play in the death of the BJP leader and gave their consent for a
post-mortem earlier today.
Police said she died of a suspected heart attack but subsequently registered a case of unnatural death.
Dhaka alleged that a short while before her death, Sonali had spoken to her mother, sister and brother-in-law. She sounded disturbed and complained about her two colleagues, he added.
He also claimed that the CCTV cameras, laptop and other crucial things from her farmhouse in Haryana have
gone missing after her death.
Three years ago, one of her aides sexually assaulted her after spiking her food and later blackmailed her,
Dhaka further alleged in the police complaint.
Goa CM Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said the state police were conducting a detailed investigation into Sonali Phogat’s death.

brother Rinku Dhaka alleged that his sister was raped and murdered by her staff Sudhir Sangwan and his friend Sukhwinder.

During the telephonic call, Sonali had complained against her staff, Rinku added.
The members of the actress’ family have filed a complaint with the Goa Police.
According to Rinku, Sonali’s PA raped her after adding drugs to her meals.
“She (Sonali) said Sangwan had given her food laced with some intoxicant, raped her and made a video and
was threatening to make the video viral on social media,” the Police complaint read.
It was alleged that Sangwan was threatening Sonali with destroying her political and acting career. He seized her phones, property records, ATM cards, and house keys, according to the complaint.
Sonali, the BJP leader, was brought dead to the St Anthony Hospital in Goa on Tuesday morning. While preliminary reports suggested that she died of a cardiac arrest, her family members suspect foul play.
Sonali’s brother Rinku Dhaka said his family is not satisfied with the probe in Goa and demanded a second
post-mortem in AIIMS, New Delhi.
“We are not satisfied here. We will get the post-mortem done again in AIIMS Delhi. My sister was committed to the BJP but not a single BJP leader came here to help us. We want justice,” Rinku said.
Rinku further said, “I have seen my sister’s body and her face, ears are blue and this happens when the poison is inside the body, not in a heart attack.
My sister was healthy.”
The actress’ 15-year-old daughter Yashodhara also sought justice for her mother.
