Tom Holland takes a break from Social Media
Actor Tom Holland takes a break from social media and cites mental health as the reason for it. Tom played superhero roles in most of the recent movies. He was inactive from social media platforms for weeks.
And now, Tom uploaded a video on his Instagram account where he announced that he finds social media very overwhelming and thus he is taking a break from social media. He did this for the sake of his mental health.
What Tom Says in the Video
“Hi guys, so I’ve been trying to make this to an hour now, and for someone that has spent the last 13, 14 years, however long I’ve been acting,
I cannot seem to say what I need to say without ‘umming’ and ‘arring’ every five minutes. So, I’m going to try again.
So, I have taken a break from social media for my mental health because I find Instagram and Twitter to be overstimulating, to be overwhelming.
I get caught up and I spiral when I read things about myself online and ultimately, it’s very detrimental to my mental state. So, I decided to take a step back and delete the app.” (Spider-Man Tom Holland Takes Break From Social Media)
Tom Sponsors His Own Mental Health Charity
Tom also informed his audience about some helpful apps which will help them improve mental health. He talked about his own sponsored app by his ‘The Brothers’ trust organisation.
It is a teenage mental health charity. Tom detailed how the charity helps teenagers to improve their mental health which is affected by social media.
Also how people these days are facing a problem focusing and keeping their thoughts antiseptic and orderly.
At last, Tom concludes his video by saying “So again thank you for listening. I’m going to disappear from Instagram again,” he added.
Given the fact that tom talks about his The Brothers trust, he also will be appearing in an Apple TV+ web series starring Tom Holland.
The web series is based on mental health, as per the reports.
Was the video a sincere message from Holland, or it was intended to give the audience a pitch for his upcoming web series on a similar topic?
Does it seem to create a sense of confusion?
