Cops suspect suicide, nursing student found dead at hostel in Bathinda college: Chandigarh

Chandigarh: In a terrible occurrence, a nursing student (22) from Kashmir was found hanging in her hostel room in Bathinda’s Katar Singh Wala. The incident happened on October 1.
As per the police, the departed was studying in the second year of BSc (nursing) at Punjab Nursing School on Bathinda-Mansa Street. At first sight, it had all the earmarks of being a suicide case; however, the prime reason for death is yet to be uncovered, said a police official.
According to the report published in Hindustan Times, after taking leave from his academic work on October 1, the deceased student went to his hostel, where his companions later found him hanging with a roof fan. He was raced to a confidential medical clinic, where he was declared dead. Police authorities said the deceased’s family has been reached and the matter is being examined.
As of late, in April 2022, an MBBS understudy (21) of Government college and hospital (GMCH)- 32 was tracked down hanging inside her home. Police expressed that there were injury marks on the right hand of the person in question and her feet were tied with a cloth when the body was found. Police later recuperated a suicide note from the spot and proceeded to preclude treachery behind the demise.
