Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the AAP, posted on Twitter, “AAP is developing rapidly in Gujarat. BJP is appalled. Is it accurate to say that the BJP would name Amit Shah ji as its candidate for chief minister in the Gujarat Assembly elections? Is the BJP upset about Bhupendrabhai Patel’s work as well?
Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday claimed that the BJP is “intimidated” by the Aam Aadmi Party’s explosive rise in the state and questioned whether it intended to replace Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the chief minister. Nominated for the candidate.
According to the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, who posted the following on Twitter, AAP is rapidly expanding its footprint in Gujarat. The BJP is horrified.”
Further, Kejriwal asked whether the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intends to nominate former party chief Amit Shah as its candidate for the Chief Executive of Gujarat in the upcoming assembly elections. And also questioned whether the party is satisfied with the performance of the present Chief Executive Officer of the state Bhupendrabhai Patel. He tweeted, ‘Is BJP also upset with Bhupendrabhai Patel’s work.
The Aam Aadmi Party is working to expand its presence in states like Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh after a landslide victory in the Punjab Assembly elections earlier this year.
The party plans to field candidates for all open seats in the legislatures of both the states, and presents itself as an alternative to the BJP and the Congress, in the assembly elections to be held in both the states. Assembly elections are due in both the states later this year.
A first list of 10 candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections has also been made public by the party.Kejriwal reiterated on Wednesday that political parties should not be prohibited from making pre-election announcements.
Sharing a tweet in which the Centre warned the Supreme Court of India that political parties’ giveaways would cause economic catastrophes, Kejriwal said that giving away millions of rupees from the government coffers to “friends” rather than to the general public would cause an economic crisis.
Aam Aadmi Party’s entire focus is on Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections. The party is trying vigorously to challenge the BJP and the Congress with all its might. Its leadership is commanded by Aam Aadmi Party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal himself. In the assembly elections held earlier this year, out of the 5 states, the Aam Aadmi Party could not do much in 4 states, but in the Punjab elections, it got a thumping victory, which boosted the morale of the party.
Though Punjab and Himachal Pradesh have some similarities, hence the way to Himachal may seem a bit easy but Gujarat is very different. BJP and Congress have been occupied in Gujarat for a long time and they believe that Gujarat is the stronghold of BJP. This is the reason why Kejriwal considers the Gujarat elections to be an important part of the Aam Aadmi Party’s political journey, for these reasons he is putting all his might for the Gujarat assembly elections.
