The Twilight saga will be featured on TV. The serialisation of author Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling book series is in early development through Lionsgate Television.
Sinead Daly, with credits such as The Walking Dead and Tell Me to Rise:
World Beyond, Raised by Wolves, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, and The Get Down are attached to write the script for Twilight. Sources say Daly is working with Lionsgate to see a particular version of Twilight will look like and whether it will be a remake or another spinoff. Series fans will be happy to know that Wyck Godfrey and former Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-president Erik Feig have joined the film adaptation.
Twilight movies
If you grew up in the early 2000s, you’re familiar with just about every tween and teen-consuming vampire romance sensation. First published in 2005, Meyer’s book series follows a high school student named Bella, who moves to Forks, Washington, to spend more time with her father, Charlie.
After enrolling in a new school, Bella is immediately attracted to a mysterious student, Edward Cullen. Eventually, Bella finds out that Edward is a vampire, and so are the rest of the Cullens. Throughout the rest of the series, Bella becomes a vampire, and she longs to be with Edward forever. Become an integral part of his family.
Movie’s success and legacy
Years later, Twilight hit the big screen with its first film adaptation. The remaining major books in the series—New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn—have also been adapted, with the final book being split into two parts. Bella herself, Kristen Stewart, was often criticised for her performance, but like her co-star Robert Pattinson (Edward), she later went on to have a strong career.
The books themselves are also seen from Edward’s point of view in Meyer’s gender-reversed version (Life and Death), Bree Tanner’s short novell titled Second Life, and most recently in the long-awaited version of The Midnight Sun, which paved the way for the publication of Twilight.
Team Edward vs. team Jacob is back.
In the heyday of the Twilight Saga, Team Edward vs. Team Jacob at a pit stop with movie fans .Some wanted to see Bella Swan end up with the former, while others pushed to go with the latter. Even with a new actor in the role, we can expect a new TV series to rekindle this feud to some degree.
Both men have their strengths and weaknesses, but Team Edward wins. Team Jacob has valid points and often looks like the better choice, but Team Edward is a better fit for Bella. This debate will continue as long as the Twilight Saga exists. There will always be people who support Jacob more than Edward. But in the end, and at the end of the series, Bella ends up with Edward.
