Mr. Naidu clarified that his role ahead of the 2024 polls has already been decided on. He would focus his energy on the rebuilding and reconstruction of Andhra Pradesh.

In 2014, when Andhra Pradesh was divided into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, it was decided that Hyderabad would become the capital of Telangana while the AP Reorganization Act asked the AP government to choose a new capital for the state.
He questioned the role of the present Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. He raised the query about Reddy holding cabinet meetings to solve the Amravati-capital issue. He clarified that he had already built a smooth working ecosystem around Hyderabad that Reddy’s government did not pay much heed to.
In January, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy declared that Visakhapatnam would be the capital of Andhra Pradesh. This decision was taken without any discussion in the State Assembly. It should be noted that Visakhapatnam was not even mentioned in any official document.
Later, the YSRCP government told that in order to provide better administration, the state was supposed to get three capitals.
