Film director Satram Ramani, talks about how he managed to bring Indian Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan to work with them on the film.
The much-anticipated film Double XL directed by film director Satram Ramani is soon going to be on floors. The film will have a theatrical release on 04th November 2022. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Huma Qureshi, Saqib Saleem, and many more under the banner of T-Series associated with Wakaoo Films, Element Entertainment, and Just Right Studioz. Sonakshi Sinha and Huma Qureshi have associated with the film for the first time.
The film is already making headlines because of the huge banner production and the star cast, but the audience was awe-struck when they met the Indian Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan as a star guest appearance in the teaser.
The cricketer appeared in the ballroom dream sequence of the protagonist. In the scene, he was seen dancing with the leading lady Huma Qureshi in a pink beautiful gown. The director said he had a picture of the cricketer in his mind while making the characters. The protagonist also dreams of a sports representative to be with, and he could only imagine Dhawan in the picture. The director added that he sees the cricketer as an alpha male, who carries his passion with dignity and pride which would be perfect for the role. He also said that he had a good time with him on the set, and Dhawan was convinced as soon as he read the part.
The film talks about the struggle of two women who deal with the pressure of society due to their weight. Both of them deals with the roadblocks in their life and tries to break the general stereotypes of society with the message of body positivity.
The film is a heartfelt drama about Rajshree (Huma Qureshi) and Saira Khanna (Sonakshi Sinha) who pulls on a journey to break society’s beauty standards.
The two actresses have collaborated for the first time for the film and have seemed to knit magic on the screen. They said the film has a pure and sheer motive to promote the message of body positivity and disapprove the comments on anyone’s body.
The makers have decided to give the film an OTT release as well. The platform and the dates are still tentative and are yet to be confirmed by the team.
