BTS RM pens a letter on his 29th Birthday

BTS’s leader Kim Namjoon, going by his stage name RM wrote a lengthy letter on his birthday. The kpop idol turned 29 this year. All the BTS group members – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook have praised their fandom, ARMY for their unconditional love and support towards them since their debut days. 

The idol, while talking with a media source for his interview, had said that the fandom had provided him genuine support when he felt he could not keep up with the music industry. In 2017, RM had said that when they used to travel abroad and people would shake his hand or write him letters saying he changed their life or that his songs inspired his admirers. These reasons became one of the most powerful motivators for him over the years.

The idol said that he had been inspired by his fans.Namjoon also said he is grateful that his music has changed people’s lives and inspired them to pursue their dreams again. He further emphasized that he is also grateful to his admirers for their support.

RM’s letter on Weverse 

As the supergroup BTS leader ushered in his 29th birthday this year on 12th of September, Namjoon had posted a very long letter for the fandom on the Weverse application. It was translated by a devoted fan from their twitter account known by the name, X. The letter stated that this would be his last birthday in his 20s. He had hoped it would be a normal day but since many people congratulated him sincerely, he felt elated. Kim often thought of love as a name being given to someone. He signed off the letter by writing until Kim Namjoon becomes Kim Namjoon.

BTS leader talks about his music

In the letter Kim had said that when he received compliments he thought that he should try receiving them once as a downpour. RM realised that he is also a temperamentally optimistic person.These days he lives with the thought of, why not. Kim Namjoon exclaimed that the love he is receiving, he is surviving with it while sharing optimism. And it is also embraced in his next songs that would be released someday. He thought that he would be able to be honest through his music. It is the truth he knew, but sometimes it was not enough for him. That is why he wondered if he became a part of BTS, he could convey his thoughts in various ways. 

Coincidence in his life 

He stated that it was a twist of fate that coincided and it was far from an inevitability. According to him, it felt that a twist of fate is the future disguised as a twist of fate. It appeared to him that posting this letter felt like deja-vu. The feeling that every version of him would write a letter in the month of September this year. His birthday letters are his way of appreciating ARMY. These long notes showcase his idol journey throughout the decade.

BTS RM had concluded the post by saying that he can not hug each of his supporters but his affection is more than what he has expressed. He said that he would not ask ARMY to like him regardless of what his current self is. However, he wants to make an effort as much as he has been given. He added that everyone should take care of themselves.The K-pop idol also said that he hoped to see his admirers soon.
