This film focuses on an individual named Mathi can be identified as a brilliant mathematician who uses the name Cobra who uses algebra to perform clever murders.

Ravikumar, Roshan Mathew, Anandaraj, Robo Shankar Miya George, Mirnalini Ravi, Shaji Chen, Meenakshi Govindarajan, John Vijay, Mohammad Ali Baig, Rajneesh, Kumar Natarajan, Suresh Chandra Menon, Adhik Ravichandran, Mamukkoya, Poovaiyar Renuka, Anjana, Appukuttan, Sindhu Shyam, Manikanda Rajan, and the movie was directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu.
The film Cobra begins with two people who are murdered. At a Chennai public event, the Orissa chief minister is assassinated, and the Scottish royal is slaughtered at his wedding. The Interpol agent in charge of the case, Aslan, discovers Judith Samson’s thesis, which contends that only a gifted mathematician could have committed the two high-profile killings.
The victims’ shared criticism of a Rishi-run business behemoth appears to be their only point of connection with Rajeev Rishi. However, the brilliant mathematician and master of disguise Vikram is currently working on his next task: to eliminate a Russian minister. However, an enigmatic hacker alerts the police and seeks to identify Madhi.
Cobra, which Ajay Gnanamuthu directs, is the type of exaggeratedly, unsatisfying, self-indulgent indulgent, overloud. Over-the-top action entertainer that is made traditionally, filled with scenes that cater to its star’s image, too many flashbacks, uninspired romance keeps track with a pair of uninteresting female leads, and songs that appear to have been included only because they have a well-known composer A.R.Rahaman.
Of course, there are some remarkable moments, but the excesses make the movie eventually become boring. Cobra was released in cinemas and as it approaches the seven days of the movie release, reports suggest a reduction in box office sales.
After just a long five-day first weekend, “Cobra” has reached Rs 50 crores and is entering a crucial part of its theatrical run. But the movie only made a total of Rs 6 crores throughout the weekdays, with a drop on Monday and Tuesday. The film has already entered its second week after earning Rs 59 crores internationally in just 7 days.
People who are watching the film would understand why actor Vijay would have found this script compelling. The action star, who gives a highly dedicated and sincere output, does indeed have enjoyed playing this role, especially in an interrogation scene that appears in the second half. This is a concept that he has come to believe in after Anniyan. To his credit, Ajay Gnanamuthu who is the director of the film succeeds in engaging us in Mathiazhagan after a somewhat rocky beginning, especially as we hear about his psychological problems.
Indeed the revelation in the intermission is good enough to keep us interested in the movie. The scenes in which he experiences hallucinations are shot fairly nicely. But the second half ends up being a disaster, with clumsily written cat-and-mouse games and uninspiring flashbacks.
In the majority of these sequences, he appeals to the audience and enjoys inhabiting the bodies of people that we will only faintly recognize. Though it must have taken a lot of time and work to grow those thick beards down to his chin. For some missions, he may have a paunch, but for others, his chuckle distinguishes him from the locals who appear similar to him. In other words, he performs an Anniyan without actually becoming one.
Vikram does not own a smartphone. He doesn’t consider current technology to be reliable unless it can be used to conceal a weapon.
