The film Chehre starring actors Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi are all set to release on 27th August.
The film also stars Annu Kapoor, Rhea Chakraborty, Raghubir Yadav, and Krystal D’ Souza. After the second wave of the Coronavirus outbreak in India, Chehre is going to be the second film to be released in Theatres after Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom, which is to be released on 19th August.
Amitabh Bachchan announced the release date on Twitter with one of the dialogue promos of the film.
The Tweet read, Caution! It also said, kyunki yeh ilzaam aap par bhi lag sakta hai; which translates to Cause the blame can be on you as well!
You have been warned! Be ready to face the Game.
Rumi Jafry has directed the film with production by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures and Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited.
Regarding the film’s release, Chehre producer Anand Pandit said, “The team had taken great efforts, and we always thought that a film like Chehre deserves a Theatre release.”
He also said that the enormity of the film could be rightly showcased only through a theatrical experience for the audience. We are excited to reach the audience through
the cinema screens; finally, he said.

Amitabh Bachchan has previously recited poems of Sahir Ludhiyanvi and Javed Akhtar in classics like Kabhi Kabhie and Silsila.
For the film Chehre, an orchestral rendition of the title track was recorded by composer Vishal-Shekhar with 107 musicians in Prague.
In an interview, producer Anand Pandit said that Shekhar Ravjiani had composed the tune, and Amitabh Bachchan lent his voice to the track.
The release date of the Mystery thriller has been postponed multiple times, mainly due to the surge in Covid-19 cases and the third wave that hit India in the last few months.
